Everyone is welcome here

Welcome to a Love Letter from God!  This is the place to start on your journey to a deeper relationship with God.

This is open to anyone and everyone.  While it comes from a Christian perspective, please know that these messages are for everyone.  For those who *are* Christian, we need to acknowledge that we’ve managed to jack up religion.  Some of us have managed to take God and Jesus and turn them into weapons to judge, hurt, blame and, at times, sow massive discord.  It’s no wonder people are saying, “If I have to be like your people, I want nothing to do with you, God.  Your people suck.”

But we can’t escape the fact that the Divine exists.  As a result it’s given rise to a new age movement that acknowledges the power and splendor of the Divine while never talking about God.  It’s a new age movement that identifies the way God created the universe—the natural laws—but  doesn’t see the Creator behind it (precisely because of the way that God has been taught or used against His creation).

If that’s where you are, I bless and honor you.  I honor the journey you’ve been on to get to this place.  And, on behalf of those who have hurt you, please forgive me.

More, I invite you to be open to the Divine that wants a deep close relationship with you.  We are all on a journey that has a deep spiritual connection.

You can read the full version of how A Love Letter from God came to be in the About section.  But here are a few more things that aren’t included there:

I grew up with 16 years of faith-based education and a few more years practicing religion.  That’s a lot of time being told what to believe and not to question it.  When I started to question (because that’s the way God made us!) I found that a lot of things I *thought* were important were things that pushed a lot of people away from God.  I realized that I didn’t know how to pray.  Isn’t that crazy?!?  I had 16 years of faith based education and I didn’t know how to talk to God.  I took on a lot of things as truth only to find they weren’t Truth.

For example, I really thought I was going to go to hell if I didn’t go to church every Sunday.  I loved the stories of Jesus as my brother and my friend, but the stories of God made me think of a judge waiting in heaven to pass judgement on me if I did something wrong.  I thought I had to earn the love of this God by doing and saying the right things, being with the right people and ignoring the “bad” people.  I could help the suffering—just not the bad people.

Is it any wonder that we have millions of people who have been jacked up by religion??

I’ve come to realize, after spending time with God and listening for the voice of Truth, that my upbringing is one of the greatest gifts I could ever have.  I have gained humility, empathy and a great desire to reach out to others who have been hurt by people like me—or rather, who I was.  It’s also why I can say that we’ve managed to make a mess of religion.

It’s time to fix that.

The best place to start
The best place to start is to download the e-book on prayer.  It gives you some basics on how to develop a prayer life. It will introduce you to the Love Letters as God has spoken to me.  Then, come back and see the Love Letter posts—or better yet, sign up to have them delivered to you.

If you have specific prayer requests, please visit the Prayer Request page.  I read and pray over ALL requests!

It is my hope and my intention that this post will be the most you hear about me.  The goal of this website is to share God’s Love Letters written for and to you.

Above all, know that you are welcome here!
